Everyone should be able to talk to their shaper. This is not us offering a VIP or Pro athlete experience—this is just how custom surfboards ought to be. Whether you are the World Champ or just caught your first wave, everyone walks through the same door at Arakawa Surfboards. Get a little foam dust on your feet and have your board dialed by Eric Arakawa and Nat Woolley.
Get direct access to over 40 years of shaping experience—most of which was spent shaping for surfers at the world championship level (and all of which was spent dialing in the rest of us who aren't).

At the Arakawa Factory, custom surfboards is what we do. Nothing can replace the experience of walking into the same building your board will be made and speaking with the dusty craftsman responsible.
For us, “custom surfboard” means more than being able to choose a model, your favorite color airbrush, fin set-up, or other basic option. It is a board whose shape and performance is fine tuned specifically for you. It is the result of the surfer/shaper connection: a conversation and symbiotic relationship that is core to the sport of kings.
Not everyone can make the trip to our factory in Waialua, but today we have tools to extend that relationship to wherever you are.
