Custom Boards & Design
What is a design session?
A one-on-one (or remote) consultation where we talk about your surfing, local waves, goals, and preferences to dial in the right shape, volume, rocker, rails, and fin setup.
Do I need to know exactly what I want before the design session?
Nope. That’s what we’re here for. Whether you’re brand new to customs or a total gear nerd, we’ll guide you through it.
Is a custom board only for advanced surfers?
Customs are not just for pros. Speaking with a shaper can save you years of trial and error as you progress. Having a board custom tailored to your build and performance goals makes the whole process of learning so much easier. However, If you have never surfed before or only just begun days ago, we will likely also recommend a few other options besides a custom shape. It all depends on your approach.
What information should I bring to my design session?
Nothing is required, but there are a few things that really help us dial you in:
Height, weight, age, fitness level, skill level, the waves you surf most, and any example or information on your current boards. If you are meeting us at our shop, we highly recommend bringing a reference board.

Production and Timeline
How long will my board take to build?
Typical lead time is 4-6, or 6-8 during the winter. Timelines may vary depending on materials, glassing schedules, and seasonal demand.
Do you offer rush orders?
Sometimes, depending on the build and our production queue. Ask us and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
What happens if there’s a delay?
All custom orders are given an estimated completion date (ETA). This will be sent to you along with your order confirmation. We’ll communicate clearly and keep you updated if there is any indication that that original ETA will not be met. Quality always comes first.
If you have important dates such as travel or events that cannot be negotiated, please let us know before placing your order and we will confirm its guaranteed delivery date.
